TestDisk 是個體積很小的拯救磁碟工具，支援相當多種類的電腦系統、作業系統、若當使用者在更改磁碟分區的時候出現意外錯誤時，它可以幫你找出磁碟中僅存的磁區並且立即恢復。


每次重灌電腦的時候總有一個步驟要分割、建立磁碟區，有時候再這個步驟一個手指按錯就是一整個磁區的資料不見，你也有這種懊惱的慘痛經驗嗎？試試看 TestDisk，也許一個小小工具就能讓那些資料再重新出現。

TestDisk 支援多種電腦系統，從Intel PC、Mac、Solaris 伺服器、Sun 伺服器，也能分辨多種磁碟格式，諸如 NTFS、FAT、BeFS、BSD、DOS、HFS、JFS、Linux、LVM、UFS， 在軟體原創網頁中就提供了各式各樣的 Testdisk 版本;就 OS 的支援程度也很廣泛，Windows 各系列都支援，甚至包括最新的 Vista。

TestDisk 的使用方法也相當簡單，以 Windows 的版本為例，執行 TestDisk 之後會進入簡單的選單畫面，使用者在選擇機器的種類後就能選擇「Analyse」選項，隨後出現在畫面中的就是目前能讀到的磁碟區，若這些是你要救回的磁區，那麼在選擇「Save」之後重新開機就能再看到消失的磁碟分區了。

Thanks C-Hing.  I have been experiencing every time when I open my pc Win XP, it always check for disk consistency in FAT32 when it finished it will check for free space and always stops at 38%.  I don't know what if your test drive can help me to finish that freeing space.
